Shopping Always greet sales staff with Bonjour Monsieur/mademoiselle when entering a store or approaching a sales person. If the French perceive you as well-mannered you will get good service! When shopping in high-end stores always dress the part or you might find yourself not being admitted or even ignored totally... Tipping Check your bill to see if it says Service Compris - if it does then the tip is included in the bill ... Public Toilets The Parisian sanisettes, or toilet booths on the street are now free but where are they? Get this inexpensive Pause-Pipi Guide and don't be caught out... In case of emergency look for a blue Parking sign as all public parking facilities have toilets, but sometimes on a different floor! Cheap theatre seats There are two kiosks, on the forecourt of the Montparnasse railway station and at the Place de la Madeleine, which offer reduced price tickets for that day only. Theatre, cinema and concert bookings You can buy your tickets for theatre, concert and shows at any FNAC or Virgin store outlet amongst others, or directly from the theatre itself. . Buy online in advance to avoid dissapointment at Ticketnet - They can either post the tickets to you at an extra charge or you can pick them up at any Virgin Megastore in Paris - Specified the option "Withdrawal point" if you want to pick them up yourself! Save money and avoid the queues at the Museum Yes, it is possible to avoid the queues at the museums. Purchase a Museum Pass at any FNAC or Métro station - this will allow you priority entrance to the over 65 museums in Paris - note that the visits have to be on consecutive days and bought in periods of 2, 4 or 6 days... Children under 18 do not pay for museum entrance! Save money on Métro tickets Buy a Carnet of 10 tickets at any Métro station - it will save you around 3! Cinema Cinemas often show the films dubbed into French - some cinemas around the Champs Elysées area do show films in their original version - check before going in or you might not understand a word!
